As a long-time Six Sigma Master Belt and Quality Professional I’ve been developing my skills for continuous improvement throughout my working life. Building on a degree in Natural Sciences from Cambridge University, and later an MBA, I developed my career over many years in the coatings and automotive industries, initially with ICI Paints in the UK, later with DuPont and Axalta Coating Systems in Germany. My professional experience includes leadership positions in product development, production and process control, operational excellence, quality management and, of course, Lean Six Sigma. As Business Improvement Manager and Six Sigma Champion I had responsibility for process improvement and the project management office within a global business unit.
I have always worked closely with my colleagues in sales, supporting those at “the sharp end”, including on-site with customers. I know how to analyse customer needs, organisations and interfaces and then take care of the design and implementation of systematic improvements. The benefits can extend to improved customer and employee satisfaction, cost reduction, defect elimination, growth, productivity and profitability improvements.
Leading excellence projects and programs isn’t just focussed on designing and improving processes. I always see my role as working with people within an organisation to implement sustainable, measurable and practical solutions that lead to successes for the company and its customers.
Driving improvement means working with people to get things done.
As a member of The Lean Six Sigma Company, I now support a wide-range of organisations, companies, professionals and managers in developing their skills to deal with market and business challenges. I enjoy sharing my expertise with others to support them in growing within their organisation.
